You-me salad

Never could I have foreseen you
Coming along like warm summer rain
From the far side of the unknown
Touching down in my deserted backyard
Bringing me yourself in rainbow colors

Thus you flooded my dust filled corners of feel
Pouring honeyed charms upon me
Taking me down with bright improvisation
You transformed me into half you
Half poor copy of someone I never knew

I realize every time you’re gone for a minute
Forever becomes so much more than just time
And now, that you took off in your rabbit slippers,
Leaving this humongous, unbearable absence grow,
Jesting sighs and insidious desolation away is all I do
